The British No.3 has broken new ground by reaching the second week of a Grand Slam for the first time, and she’s done it with plenty of grit and fearlessness. Up next is a challenging test — Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, the experienced Russian who also owns an Olympic gold medal. With the home crowd firmly in her corner, Kartal will be hoping to keep the fairytale going.

Next up, Aryna Sabalenka, the world No.1, returns to Centre Court after a powerful win over Emma Raducanu. She now faces Elise Mertens and will be hoping to keep her strong form going as she chases a Wimbledon title to add to her two Australian Open wins.

Carlos Alcaraz will close out Centre Court action as he faces off against 14th seed Andrey Rublev. The defending champion hasn’t always hit top gear early in matches this week, but he’s still managed to stay in control when it matters. Rublev, known for his power game and Olympic pedigree, could pose a serious challenge. If both players bring their best, this one might just steal the show on Day 7.

On Court No.1, British No.1 Cameron Norrie will try to make it to week two. He faces Chile’s Nicolas Jarry, a big hitter who could test Norrie’s defence and patience.

Also playing on Sunday are America’s Taylor Fritz and Amanda Anisimova, along with a bunch of exciting doubles matches — including some with British players still in the mix.

ORDER OF PLAY ON DAY 7: WIMBLEDON 2025 (ALL LOCAL TIMES)

CENTRE COURT – 1:30 PM

Sonay Kartal (GBR) v Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova

Aryna Sabalenka (BLR) [1] v Elise Mertens (BEL) [24]

Carlos Alcaraz (ESP) [2] v Andrey Rublev [14]

NO.1 COURT – 1:00 PM

Taylor Fritz (USA) [5] v Jordan Thompson (AUS)

Nicolas Jarry (CHI) v Cameron Norrie (GBR)

Linda Noskova (CZE) [30] v Amanda Anisimova (USA) [13]

NO.2 COURT – 11:00 AM

Karen Khachanov (RUS) [17] v Kamil Majchrzak (POL)

Solana Sierra (ARG) v Laura Siegemund (GER)

Joe Salisbury (GBR) / Luisa Stefani (BRA) v Andres Molteni (ARG) / Asia Muhammad (USA)

NO.3 COURT – 11:00 AM

Marcelo Arevalo (ESA) / Mate Pavic (CRO) [1] v Petr Nouza (CZE) / Patrik Rikl (CZE)

Katerina Siniakova (CZE) / Taylor Townsend (USA) [1] v Nicole Melichar-Martinez (USA) / Liudmila Samsonova

David Stevenson (GBR) / Maia Lumsden (GBR) v Mate Pavic (CRO) / Timea Babos (HUN) [8]

COURT 12 – 11:00 AM

Thea Frodin (USA) v Mimi Xu (GBR)

Hugo Nys (MON) / Edouard Roger-Vasselin (FRA) [10] v Adam Pavlasek (CZE) / Jan Zielinski (POL)

Nathaniel Lammons (USA) / Alexandra Panova v Neal Skupski (GBR) / Desirae Krawczyk (USA)

Sem Verbeek (NED) / Katerina Siniakova (CZE) v Santiago Gonzalez (MEX) / Tereza Mihalikova (SVK)

COURT 18 – 11:00 AM

Jack Kennedy (USA) [8] v Oliver Bonding (GBR)

Andrea Vavassori (ITA) / Sara Errani (ITA) [3] v Jackson Withrow (USA) / Irina Khromacheva

Joshua Paris (GBR) / Eden Silva (GBR) v Robert Galloway (USA) / Aldila Sutjiadi (INA)

Yuki Bhambri (IND) / Xinyu Jiang (CHN) v Marcelo Arevalo (ESA) / Shuai Zhang (CHN) [2]

– Ends

Published By:

Debodinna Chakraborty

Published On:

Jul 6, 2025

Day 7 at Wimbledon promises to be packed with excitement, as big names like Carlos Alcaraz, Aryna Sabalenka, and local hope Sonay Kartal take to the courts on Sunday.
