Day 7 at Wimbledon promises to be packed with excitement, as big names like Carlos Alcaraz, Aryna Sabalenka, and local hope Sonay Kartal take to the courts on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Sonay Kartal, Britain\u2019s unexpected star of the tournament so far, will kick off proceedings on Centre Court. The British No.3 has broken new ground by reaching the second week of a Grand Slam for the first time, and she\u2019s done it with plenty of grit and fearlessness. Up next is a challenging test \u2014 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, the experienced Russian who also owns an Olympic gold medal. With the home crowd firmly in her corner, Kartal will be hoping to keep the fairytale going.<\/p>\n
Next up, Aryna Sabalenka, the world No.1, returns to Centre Court after a powerful win over Emma Raducanu. She now faces Elise Mertens and will be hoping to keep her strong form going as she chases a Wimbledon title to add to her two Australian Open wins.<\/p>\n
Carlos Alcaraz will close out Centre Court action as he faces off against 14th seed Andrey Rublev. The defending champion hasn\u2019t always hit top gear early in matches this week, but he\u2019s still managed to stay in control when it matters. Rublev, known for his power game and Olympic pedigree, could pose a serious challenge. If both players bring their best, this one might just steal the show on Day 7.<\/p>\n
On Court No.1, British No.1 Cameron Norrie will try to make it to week two. He faces Chile\u2019s Nicolas Jarry, a big hitter who could test Norrie\u2019s defence and patience.<\/p>\n
Also playing on Sunday are America\u2019s Taylor Fritz and Amanda Anisimova, along with a bunch of exciting doubles matches \u2014 including some with British players still in the mix.<\/p>\n
